Fast Food Suggestions to other KMC members

This is a thread for offering suggestions to others regarding fast-food hints when visiting. Every restaurant has its own tendencies and ways to avoid a high price in particular. For examples, see below.

** This is NOT a thread to discuss fast-food in general, so please refrain from not reading this sentence I just typed. This thread is meant to help others. If you hate fast food please direct your mouse to the "Back" button on your toolbar. **

Arby’s – Never, ever, go there without coupons or assurance that the “5 for 5.50” deal or whatever it’s called is going on. Their prices are ridiculous and if you and another person go there unarmed (without coupons), your bill will be at least $14 where I live.

McDonald’s – Dollar menu is the way to go with this one. You can get a double cheeseburger, fries, and medium drink for $3.00 plus tax. The value meal will be slightly larger portions and another 2 bucks in most cases.

Wendy’s – This restaurant is usually pretty quick. My fiancée used to work there when she was 16 and was fired because she couldn’t make a “Single” hamburger in 7 seconds. Anyways, regardless of food, they still have the 99 cent value menu. You can still get Baked Potatoes, Fries, and the Double Stacks for a buck each. Buying burgers by themselves will run about 4 bucks but hey, that goes for most restaurants.

KFC – They have a lunch buffet but be careful, the buffet does not come with a drink included in the price. I usually bring my own water to lunch, so if you’re like me and just order a buffet without a drink, they will hand you a cup anyways and charge you for it. Maybe that’s just at the one here. Also, as a rule of thumb, if it’s not one of KFC’s specialties (i.e. mashed potatoes, chicken, biscuits) and it’s on the buffet, DO NOT select it. I’ve seen spaghetti on there before, and I tried some other pasta that tasted like Dog Food (the dry kind, thank you very much).

Sonic – This is my favorite fast-food restaurant. Two things about it, though. One, Be prepared to wait for your food. It's not exactly fast food. My fiancée also used to work at Sonic and she said they make everything from scratch. That’s a good thing but not if you’re in a hurry. Two, be careful about ordering the foot-long coneys. It already comes with chili and cheese. If you specific that you want chili and cheese, make sure that the person does not interpret that as wanting double the chili and cheese. That happened to me once and I was charged an extra dollar for that.

Taco Bell – The price of a plain taco has quietly creeped up each year it seems, and now it’s pushing a dollar here. It used to be forty or fifty cents. Adding sour cream runs another 50 cents a pop, and they’ve also increased the price of the Grilled Stuffed Burrito.

I will come back with more but I’m almost ready for lunch. Will be visiting McDonald’s today.

i dunno if it is possible, but what you've said looks differently here 😕

the likes of Mcdonalds and Burger King is they suck. The food Of M and BK taste like shite

I like what botanikus said bout mccdonalds.
It's a good choice when trying to save a few bucks. If you wanna spend about the same go to wendys and get yourself a junior bacon cheese burger, a small soda, and some chicken nuggets; all off the dollar menu.
It will be tastier than mccdonalds and about the same price. And make sure you ask for very little ice cuz they totally rip you off by putting too much in. Most places I guess are like that but they do it there especially.

here's the best advice: dont eat any of that shit

I agree with PVS, It costs a whole lot less to make your own lunch and it can be a whole lot healthier.

Fortunately, Echuu, more and more chains are offering the self-serve fountains for your drinks, so you determine the amount of ice and can get refills without having to flag down the cashier, who's uninterested in helping you usually.

Burger King - This is my least favorite fast-food restaurant. Their burgers are very small and the same price as McDonald's. Their one positive? They have onion rings.

Hardee's - This used to be a cheap place to eat. Not anymore, my friend. Here come the Thickburgers. While they are easily the best burgers in the business (fast-food), they are all over $5 a sandwich, so make sure you're hungry if you want to shell out $7.50 for a value meal. I'm sure the price for that is higher up North.

And taste a 3whole lot worse too.
MacDonalds and stuff is pretty expensive though. I mean for wat they over..I like the taste but its stillö not cheap at all. Wendys is best by the way ✅
And whats the deal with you americans and having ice in your pop anyway? 🤨

i ask for NO ice in my drink.
ice is just their way of scamming you.
how? because they fill the cup entirely with crushed ice and then fill
the rest with the actual drink...

so you are left with:
10% fountain drink
90% frozen tap water

Wendy's is in my top five. It's a credible restaurant.

As far as the ice goes, I have no idea. All it does is water down the soda in those paper cups. But if you request no ice through the drive through, most of the time they will forget to do it.

And ice in a drink you will approximately drink in like 5 minutes is hardly reasonable anyways.

Wendy's is definitely the best fast-food restaurant, IMO. It's got a great dollar menu, the food tastes good, and they have Frostees.

Well here in germany they try this ice shit too but well you have to say to them "**** you I don't want no water I asked for coke, *****. No give it to me."

yeah ok, hope you enjoy the taste of other people's saliva, because they probably spit in your drink if you talk to them like that.

I know thats why I actually say "Thank you Sir, I actually wanted Ice Sir in my drink Sir but forgot to say it Sir" or something like that....the power of the MC Donalds employees

i know they weren't listed...but my two favourite fast-food restaurants are subway (or mr. submarine) and edo.

you can get a (relatively) healthy and tasty meal for 5$ (cdn.)

Subway - The sandwiches are getting really good there. They've probably done the best job of continuous improvement of any of the chains.

Carl's Jr will never be beaten by those guys. 😎

WindDancer, I heard that a chain called FatBurger is out in the L.A. area and supposively is pretty badass. What do you think?

I see them but never had one. Most popular burger joint here is In-n-out.
