What people need to realise is that Anakin has father figures, thats all. In Episode I it was Qui-Gon, In Episode II its Obi-Wan, and in Episode III it is Palpatine.

in my opinion, Obi-Wan was a father to Anakin, but Anakin wasn't like a son to Obi-Wan...a part why he became so arrogant.

Thats kinda true--- the problem was that Anakin didnt like the way Obi-Wan was treating him. Palpatine was always encouraging, so eventually it is his side that he takes instead of Obi-Wan

well he earned some respect, and there is only one moment in the movie that Obi-Wan gives him respect. I know you can't give him to much respect otherwise he would become more arrogant. But he deserved more.

Thats what Anakin thought also lol The thing is that he shouldnt care what people think of him, he should just do his duty as a Jedi. But he is a snob now, he wants to be the best and that is because of his upbringing as a slave, so he wants constant recognision and appraisal but he doesnt get it. But Palps gives it freely, and deliberately
