i love this film! i like it better than war of the worlds
does anyone like this film?

An alien lands and tells the people of Earth that we must live peacefully or be destroyed as a danger to other planets

I thought we had a thread on this in the MDF before, and I was looking to transfer it, but alas. For shame, again!

It's funny you mention TDTESS, because I was going to buy it this afternoon. I found it for $9.77 at Wal-Mart, and would be a biiiig addition to my Sci Fi collection. I'm waiting for the "Forbidden Planet" 2 Disc SE that's rumoured to be out soon, too. I loooove "War of the Worlds" as well, and it's on my wishlist. Then there's "This Island Earth", which has been out of print forever.

Anywho, getting back to the movie, it's way ahead of its time, and had a really powerful message for society and government. Can't wait to see it again.

Old Sci Fi is ace. Even the worst ones, I'd still love them. There's a few I still need to rent, but TDTESS is uber-important.
