American society today is being manipulated into the same mind-controlled state to which much of the German population succumbed in the 1930s and 1940s. But, as with Bush supporters in America today, the Hitler-supporting Germans could not see through the smokescreens and the Orwellian Newspeak until it was too late to turn the tide of hatred and control. We are such a long way down the Orwellian road, but although the majority still can't see it, the fires of freedom are stirring in tile hearts of those with minds to call their own. Note that I said "pro-Bush, pro-war" America was a deeply sick society. I know from personal experience that vast millions of Americans are not mentally emotionally challenged like their president. They are seeing the game and they are appalled by it, as gathering billions are in Britain and around the world. America is not Bush and Britain is not Blair. Hitler unleashed a war that killed tens of millions. Hitler wanted to exterminate every Jew on the planet (was he a Muslim?). Bush only wants to give multinational corporations more wealth and power than they already have. His wars have only killed a ferw thousand.
A better comparison would be Hitler=Stalin. Stalin was also responsible for tens of millions of deaths.

cctv has been part of my life for about 20 years...the main issue being that the cameras dont do anything proactive as no-one monitors them properly...they seem only to be used post incident
take the attacks on the london underground
without the cameras there would have been little chance of discovering who was behind the attacks because there would have been no pictures released to the public
besides...you dont exactly have people peering through the curtains of your house to see if you are making bombs do you?

well before 9/11 or 7/7 maximum police can hold someone in custody was 24 hours. Then that extended to a week. And now a week has become 28 days.
You can get arrested, held and interrogated solely on a suspicion of being a terrorist.

The reason these terrorists do what they do are because of beliefs. Beliefs held by extremists of Southern Asian or Arabic ethnicity. Why would they pull a random white man over? What does it achieve? There's a specific type of people who do this, why look anywhere else?
Yes, innocent muslims and people of middle eastern origin DO suffer as a result, but why should the authorities check other less likely ethnic groups?

I don't think it's a fair point to compare Hitler and Bush on equal terms, since they are obviously don't have the same aims or the same methods. I haven't seen any camps in the US under the Bush administration, nor have I seen the demonisation of a particular ethnic group within the US.
Don't say Muslims - it is the press and mass opinion, not the personal opinion of Bush, which have, in some cases, demonised Muslims.
