Brian Nichols- what's to come?

The latest news happened yesterday at approximately 10:15 EST time in Duluth, Georgia just outside of Atlanta.

Brian Nichols, the alleged rapist of an untold amount of women, and the alleged killer of Judge Barnes, a stenographer, a woman cop, and a customs officer was caught with a female hostage in a nonviolent standdown in a parking lot. The car he was in was stolen, as well as others were in the past.

The police handcuffed and brought him into an complex where we assume they questioned him.

My question now is what is to become.

This piece of bull**** is a freak, a sin of Nature, a hateful person. He overpowered the female baliff in the Atlanta courtroom, left, then deliberatly came back and annilahted the courtroom judege and then fled.

The death penalty should be given, I think.

Sounds like a vile human being who deserves little compassion.

He will probably get the death penalty.

Some heads are going to roll in the Fulton County Court system.

Especially the Fulton Police Dpmt in order to get better security so another thief does not escape the court.

😘 that man is not rite in the head ...

I would rather see someone despicable rot away in a cell than let them off by killing them.

I don't stand by the D.P.

However, the justice system sucks, so he'd get out. If only life meant life.

Maybe they will wise up and give consecutive life sentences?

Maybe.

But I'd just rather see him fry than have to see him sitting like a bump on a log in some gray jail cell for 50+ years.

Does the state he would be tried in have a death penalty?

Correct me if I'm wrong but I don't think Georgia does. 🙁

He doesn't deserve a trail.

They should just take him out to Nevada, put a bullet in his head, and burry him in the desert.

I'm from there. They do.

1st: Everyone deserves a trial.

2nd: Given that fact that the murders are a matter of fact, he should get the death penalty.

I disagree.
No matter what he did, the death penalty is unconstitutional and should not be used in any circumstances

Perhaps, although really, it seems that he is unrepentant, and there is little hope for rehabilitation, which means one way or another he needs to be removed from the flow of humanity, either by death or life in prison.

That's cool. You don't have to agree that some people should be put to death. But, I believe the death sentance shold be put to use, as it was intneded.

Now that this thread has moved to an entirely different topic, If you had committed a crime worthy or either consecutive life sentences or the death penalty, which would you choose? Instant death or numerous decades surrounded by gangbangers?

They will try him on the death of the federal employee first, he will get the death penalty, be tried on the other counts in state court, then while serving his time concurrently will be executed for the federal charge.. Just my prediction
