How fast is Northstar?

Does anyone know his airspeed and groundspeed?

I think it was said somewhere that he has potential to go 99% of lightspeed.

I never heard of him being that fast. I dont think that he is much faster than Quicksilver which is slightly faster than the speed of sound. They both have a speed rating of 5 on the Marvel powergrid.

So he can run/fly @ Over 700 miles an hour, not bad.

Well I think that he is faster than mach 1. But he is nowhere near lightspeed.

Well all I need is proof and I will believe you. His speed rating of 5 is mach 2 thru orbital velocity. Which is fast but nowhere that of lightspeed. I dont like the idea of them killing off Northstar. He was a cool character.

It said on some alpha flight website that he, and his sister while they shared identical powers, had the potential to go 99% the speed of light. However it caused a huge strain, so they never attempted it.

He's not dead anymore. The Hand retrived his body and revived him. Now he's an assassin for the Hand. As of now he's leading an attack against. S.H.E.I.L.D helicarrier with a killed then revived Elektra. I'm sure they will cure him somehow.

Did that all happen in the newest Wolverine comic?
