Well, the question is did Voldemort think he was trying to stop him or trying to take it for himself. Also I think Voldemort doesn't know where his loyalties lay just yet, but I think there will be some big things revealed about Severus coming up in book 6.

✅ snape will be a big part in the 6th and/or 7th book

Didn't u ever wonder why Snape hasn't a wife or a partner? Didn't he ever have to get laid? Dumbledore too......or they frequently go to the brothel in Hogsmead?

Snape wasn't trying to stop Voldemort from getting the Philosophers stone. He didn't know that Voldemort had anything to do with it whilst he was helping Quirell get it. That was until the Troll came and then Snape didn'e trust him did he?

xx

Well I don't have the 1st book with me. . . I think the only part that could help (or not help) my case would be the part where Snape is talking to Quirlle (sp?) and Harry was his broom listening

WHOAH! That's right! Quirrel...now, Quirrel said something about how he is never alone, meaning Voldemort is always w/ him...so naturally Voldemort would be conscious of what was happening on the other side of the turban. Meaning, that w/ Snape's attempts to thwart Quirrel's actions, Voldemort had to have known that Snape had changed sides. But why didn't he do anything against Snape then? Was it just the pressing matter of trying to gain strength while defeating the famous Harry Potter? Or is it possible that JKR left something out?

naw, he couldnt make any moves with dumbledore around

^^That too...I don't think Quirrel was very powerful, definitely not as powerful as Snape, and Voldemort himself was no good w/o a body, so really nothing could have happened to Snape for changing sides. But Voldemort must have known that he switched sides, especially after Halloween when snape headed Quirrel off on the third floor...

and attacking snape at that time would not have been very smart.

I just reread my HP & the GOF and realized i had missed somethings the first couple times around...
**Pg. 651= "The dementors will join us... they are our natural allies... we will recall the banished giants... I shall have all my devoted servants returned to me, and an army of creatures whom all fear..."
What is this army of creatures whom all fear? He never told us who exactly or what exactly they were. Perhaps leading to something in HBP?

**Pg. 713= "Severus," said Dumbledore, turning to Snape,"you know what i must ask you to do. If you are ready... If you are prepared..."
"I am," said Snape.
He looked slightly paler than usual, and his cold, black eyes glittered strangely.
"Then good luck," said Dumbledore, and he watched, with a trace of apprehension on his face as Snape swept wordlessly after Sirius.

And what is this thing with an unknown task that Snape is supposed to do. perhaps consult a certain army in which Voldemort thinks he shall have on his side?????..........

well, snape didn't know that quirrel was possesed by voldy (right?) and thought quirrel wanted the stone for himself. so if voldy figured that out too, then he still doesn't know snape changed sides!!
(sorry for the prbably not making sense part, but think about it)

@[email protected] im confused

I just think Snape was trying to keep anything or anybody away from the stone. Maybe Snape didn't know Quirrel had Voldy with him, but voldy was with Quirrel almost all year Voldy could put 2 and 2 together

lol me too

I think Snape knew...I can't quote the book 'cause I don't have it in front of me...but the movie I can quote fairly well...when Harry and Quirrel were talking Quirrel said that Snape was suspicious of him especially after Halloween when Quirrel had let the troll in and Snape headed him off at the third quarter. Snape knew something was up, probably not that Quirrel was being possessed per se, but possibly that Quirrel was stealing it for Voldemort. In the cemetary, Voldemort said "one dead" that's Quirrel. Quirrel and Snape were Death Eaters together before Snape's change of heart...

and el-pirate that does make sense...about Voldemort not knowing whether Snape was protecting the stone from Voldemort or Quirrel...

@[email protected] was a death eater?

Rowling tells the fanS.....

Rowling tells fans:

* Aberforth Dumbledore is the barman in the Hog's Head
* Dumbledore's patronus is a phoenix
* Grawp will be more controllable in the sixth book
* We will see a bit more of Rita Skeeter 😠
* There will be a new character called McLagan
* Harry does NOT have a godmother

Rowling also states that fans should be concentrating on answering two questions:

1. Why didn't Voldemort die when he tried to kill Harry?
2. Why didn't Dumbledore try to kill Voldemort in that scene at the end of book five?

she also said;
Harry would "survive to book seven" but refused to confirm whether he would grow up to be a wizard 😠

AlSO--- 😕
Harry and Voldemort might have some connection due to the fact of Harry's lightening bolt shaped scar on his forehead. So maybe Voldemort can only die when Harry does? 🙁

I FRIGGEN HOPE NOT! but you notice how Harry's scar always hurts when Voldemort comes to power or is somewhere close by?
so maybe they really do have some connection.

"I'm going to be very unpopular for saying this but I think Harry is going to die because with all that's been happening in Harry's life....he's bound to die soon" (said by Daniel Radcliffe himself.)

but I just hope that the 7th book has a HAPPY ENDING
if Harry dies....
I'll be a changed person and I will probably go kill myself or something
