Paquin, Ashmore and most of the others need to just be dropped. I don't know who I'd get to replace them but they definately need to go.
Beyonce sucks as an actress. Defending your favourite singer is fine and all that, but don't do it where movies are concerned. She's a shit actress, she could never play Storm. I think Jessica Alba is incredibly, unbelievably hot, but if she sucks as Sue Storm-Richards in the F4 movie, nothing is gonna stop me from saying so.
X-Men is already too knee deep in it's own BS now anyway. X-Men was shit, like a made for TV movie. X-2 was cameos R us. Now we have one movie left to do a whole Phoenix Saga and 3+ back stories to go on. It's stupid.
The Phoenix Saga bored me anyway. There's only so much "Fight it Jean", "I can't!" I can take.

Ian McKellan is the right age to play Magneto, once you remove the outlandish aspect that Magneto was turned into an infant and then aged back to his thirties. PLUS!, he is my favorite actor and one of the best perfomers in the world. I have never seen a movie he's played in that wasn't made a hundred times better because of his involvment. The man can do anything. He's been my favorite actor since Apt Pupil came out.
As for what you say about the Phoenix Saga, I agree totally. It's boring, outlandish and ...well...uninteresting.
But, since it's already gotta happen, then remove the boring space alien aspect of it and approach it from a more realistic standpoint.

Nicholas Cage is a character actor. All his characters are the same. In all his movies. Johnny Blaze?? PLZ!! Cage is twice his age with half the hair. If Cage lands that role, THAT will be the worst casting call in the history of movies!😘
Stormfront13 is right kids. The entire casting job from both movies has been piss poor. The only two who even came close to their characters were Stewart and Jackman.😮

True, facial structure needs to be given the greatest amount of leeway. More importantly, you MUST cast an actor who is close to the height, build, and age of the character they portray. This carries more weight than acting ability (which is very important)! You can NOT be 6-8” or 40# off target and call it “close enough”. These actors have to occupy the same stage as the other actors and ANY discrepancy in the characters will show up. argue
Action stars make the BEST comic character actors…..they’re already buff and used to wire work. Vin is too SHORT if anything. Remember that big fiasco in F-N-F, about the stilts? We all know 6’2” is a lie (Hollywood men do it all the time), but I do believe the 225#!! Anybody know his true height? He could be too bulk. Wolvie is 5’8” @195#. If the movie writers had bothered to stick to character concepts, the looks wouldn’t matter. ‘Cause he’d be in a mask. On the up side, he has the voice and the attitude.ranting
Jonny Cage from Mortal Kombat as Cyclops?!? Now there’s an idea I wish I’d had! Perfect size and build, and we know he can play arrogant. As a bonus he can do martial arts.smartass
Angela Basset as Storm? Excellent choice. Right age and voice. Her characters always command respect and exude authority. Good body. Might need stilts though, remember Storm is 5’11”.thumbsup
Iceman- Ryan Reynolds. Another good choice.
ryan reynolds (assuming he can do cajun) would be a pretty good gambit. first glance mad me think reynolds would be a good iceman, but he's too big, and iceman is supposed to be teenaged.
linden ashby as cyclops would be effing brilliant assuming he can act (i have never seen him oustide of MK, which isn't exactly and acting showcase) and is tall enough. actually, he looks abit too old now, though hollywood magic could fix that easy enough.

rouge - ali landry she is from louisianna perfect for the part
