Crazy first day. Tenn almost lost to Winthrop. B.C. wins in 2 OT which pissed me off because i wanted them to lose badly. Syracuse loses. Gonzaga almost loses and I hope they lose now just because of what Morrison did tonight. I like Morrison, but after he got fouled when thye were up by 3, he started hitting his head with the ball because he was so excited. Just for that, I hope Gonzaga loses. Oklahoma also lost too.

Uconn almost became the first #1 to go down to a 16! it was crazy.
Yeah, actually, I went to the wachovia center to see Albany, Kentuky, UConn, and UAB practice, and Albany was hitting literaly EVERY shot that took. I said to my friend "It'd be funny if they beat UConn." and they almost did lol.
I think Bradly is gonna beat Memphis. Bradly played REALLY good today. O' Bryant is a beast.
VILLANOVA BABY!!!!!!!
Damn UConn got lucky as hell. First off, that technical foul on Roy was horrible. I know it was on Gay also, but the refs shoulda just gave a warning. Roy was out of like 6 minutes. Then, i dunno what Jenson was doing fouling Williams for that 3 point play. That was stupid as hell. Then, Washington got a steal, down by 2 with 11 seconds left and they friggen threw the ball away.
Now Uconn plays George Mason.
washington.. so upsetting
this entire tourny should be on ESPN classics. Ive never seen so many crazy close games like this. No joke like +/- 5 seconds and we could have like 8 different teams right now. These have been Amazing games. Nova, Uconn, Ucla and Texas, none of them really should have been able to make it and they all put up crazyness. This is why College Basketball OWNS the nba

They got f*cked on that non-goal tending call.
Yeah, that was a bad call, but the REAL bad call was the techcical foul on Roy because he had to sit out 7 minutes. That was b*llshit.

Yeah, this tourney has been great. Every tourney is great, but this one is AMAZING.
they showed thier true colors tonight, as did LSU. LSU is unfortunate they just happen to be absolutely awful at the main part of basketball, shooting. No one on that team knows how to shoot a ball into a basket. Any team that could get around 70 had a free victory on them, its hard to play perfect D every night, have to be able to score.

I thought it was a surprise that Florida won it because the way the sec is looking they were going to have another down year but I Think some of the teams were overlooking and LSU. Florida didn't even win their division Tennessee did and they lost in the second round. Florida was a fourth seed and that rarely happens because usually the first three seeds usually win it and no 16th seed has ever beaten a 1 seed in the first round which I was hoping it would be this year. this was the same Florida team that lost to Arkansas in the regular season in overtime.the sec seems to be the surprise league this year while they are the best in football.
i was glad to see a college basketball post.. but im not sure what to respond to here, sorta a jumble of random facts with a coupld opinions i guess in there.
16 seeds may loose their chance at the #1's soon. They are considering expanding the tournament in some way. One idea would be to give some of the top teams a first round bye. The reason for this is to reward more mid-mager teams who challenge themselves in their schedules and play well by letting them take a shot at the big dance. A big reason why is the amazing tournament run of George Mason. The only problem would be if they expand it and then still just use the new slots to let 6th-9th place teams from big conferences like the ACC get in.
I think that giving a first round bye to the top seeds is a good idea. it wasn't that long ago when the top seeds blew out the worst seeds. they beat them by 30 points or more just enough to get the freshman in, but now they don't take them seriously and that is why some of them almost got beat this year. there are byes in the conference tournaments for 1 and 2 seeds for each division.Florida won't be won't by surprised by anyone next year last year this was the same florida that left the tournament early last year like most sec teams also and the years before, they have the same talent and were highly ranked, and were predicted a couple of years to make the final four but couldn't make it past the the second round. their was too much hype and the scoreboard didn't show true potential.florida wasn't even in the top 10 when they won it. florida should make the sweet sixteen next year, but making a run like they did last year seems unlikely since they are the target this year. Duke will always be duke and will always have good seasons as long as coach mike is on the job. they didn't do so well this year despite red dick was breaking NCAA records this year. Duke every year seems to have one of the best talents in the country based off of coach mike's recruiting years, but LSU surpassed them in talent this year. Tyrus Thomas and glen Davis shut down Sheldon William and red dick by their athletic skills and scoring in the paint. Duke should be good like they always were, but they have seem to be slipping little in the tournament despite they have the same talent every year. Connecticut is overrated last year and almost got beat by Washington, a team that doesn't have tradition going to the tournament ever year. Connecticut lost 4 players in the first round this year tieing duke and another team for the most players selected in the first round. connecticut should make the the final four this year and should take the tournament seriously this time. I could have added some more teams but I don't have a list right with me until next time I make some predictions on the top 25 teams.
