did u watch NC whoop Georgia Tech tonight? I don't think NC will lose @ home this year. If they beat Wake Saturday, they better be ranked number 1 on next week's poll, or Duke should be (if they beat NC State tomorrow night, and Virginia on Sunday).
if NC isn't ranked 1st next week, then Duke should be...and I don't even like them lol...I just hate Illinois...they don't deserve it.
After the first 13 mins, I was like "oh sh!t, Duke is in trouble"...but NC State just couldn't get it done, and Duke fought back...gotta give em props for doin that on the road.

i was pissed that on the west coast they weren't televising the UNC/Wake game. Instead it was the Syracuse/Providence game.

man...nik caner-medley had 35 points! and mike jones had 21...gilchrist didn't do too much, so it was good that jones/medley stepped it up this game...was a must win, and good thing they did
I would like to see Duke #1. There was a great article on foxsports.com about how Duke was picked to finish 6th in the ACC back in November, and why the guy who wrote the article apologizes for his and others comments about Duke's lack of leadership (at the beginning of the season).
The thing with Duke is that they've always been a dangerous "come from behind" team. I still have nightmares from when Maryland was beating Duke by 15 points, with a minute and 15 seconds left in the game, and Duke came back to win.
I think most college analysts are just waiting for Illinois to lose so that they can quit saying "yeah, they are the best"...everyone should know by now, with everyone being over halfway through their schedules, that Illinois is not the best.

Anywho...completely agree, maryland decided to play great, and duke seemed off right from the get go. I couldn't believe the refs. Definitely the worst "refereeing" i've ever seen in college basketball, for both teams.
Duke will still have a good ranking, and this helps Maryland, especially because some of the 20-25 ranked guys lost. It seems like most ACC teams split their games. Wouldn't be a bit surprised to see Duke come back and beat Maryland at the Comcast Center.
Gilchrist REALLY needs to step it up. He only had 10 points...sure he plays good defense, makes some nice moves, and dishes the ball well...he still needs a break out game, like Caner-Medley has been having.

yea i was really upset i wanted wisonsin to win so bad.. and Caner-Medley has been amazing laitly if they go anywhere this year its because he stepped up when no one else could get it done.. Redick is just too small to guard him and he abused him all night..
the problem for duke is this was one of the easier of their hard games coming up.. although they seem to have trouble with maryland no matter what.. they are gonna need to win 2 of the 3 with unc gt and wake

Watched UNC b!tch slap NC State last night. Maryland has to beat Miami and Virginia Tech, cause they play Duke again a week from tomorrow. They really need some momentum going into that game.
