I am confused, little help please

i dont understand how padme was ment to be 14

she didnt look 14 and how does a 14yr become queen?

The people of Naboo are known for valuing compassion and innocence, thats why they always elect young girls as Queens.

Makes sense, though I didn't realise her age had been established as 14.

In most cases yes. But on Naboo they elect queens, just the title. Amidala was her royal name and she is in no way related to Queen Jamilla or the new one ( i forget her hard to pronounce name). Its just a title. But the queens are elected. Remember in AOTC when Ani says ' I heard they even tried to amend the consitution to keep you in office' and Padme says ' I was relieved when my 2 terms were up'. Very much based on US govt from the sound of that exchange.

Okay, go to the official site use search for "timeline" and in more than five seperate places it clearly shows ESB as taking place 3 YEARS AFTER ANH.

I think the only timeline in dispute now is that between ESB & ROTJ

Its bedtime for Plaguey. It IS about a year between 5 and 6, and I was SO looking at the wrong stuff for confirmation.
