I think I prefer El-P's verse, it's much scarier, and Lif kinda rambles on a little there. The contrasting imagery El uses in his is amazing.
This just chills me every time I hear it:

I know you are a huge El-P fan Deathblow and i love all the verses in that song. Jean Grae and Akrobatik are brilliant to. But I prefer Lif's verse because of the finality of it. These are his last words and i find them really moving. First he starts with all his regrets and with his last words he sends a message to his soulmate. The whole song always give me goosebumps everytime. 👆
I'm El-P biased 😮
It is a great verse, especially at the end like you said when he's speaking his last words, but I just think he goes on for a little while too long. All of the other three MC's verses were the perfect length, but Lif's kind of ruins the flow of the song, the fear and desperation isn't as prevalent by the time he gets halfway through. He shoulda wrapped it up in a nice 20-liner. Although regardless of that, it's still a fantastic verse and the song is chilling. Truly amazing album, I Phantom.
