Trade Federation

I dont get the whole thing about the Trade Federation thing. I understand clearly that SIdious wants to take over the galaxy. But can someone PLEASE explain to me the Trade Federation thing and the treaty? Please i need help.

so the reason the CIS attacked Naboo was to kill Chancellor Valorum? So they did that so Palpatine could be Chancellor? what;s with the treaty?

I get that, but this has been discussed before. Please use the search function before creating new threads because it wastes space on these boards to have multiple threads on the same subject 🙂

palps used the invasion to expose more of the inability of the senate to do anything and then valorum got the vote of no confidence so palps could become the supreme chancellor

i dont think this is useless; he is just asking a question

The Tradefederation and the treaty were so they could invade the Naboo system legally, Sidious got involved because

Sidious is Palpatine, who is from Naboo
and he knew just what to do to get this brought up to the Senate and call for a vote of no confidance in Chancellor Valorum's rulings. Thus getting himself the Chancellor position and starting a chain of events that leads to him

The Trade Federation was upset about taxation routes, so they wanted to blockade a system that was out of the way but well known as a protest. Sids gave then theplan to attack Naboo (convinient as he knows sp much about it being Palps & all). So basically the Nemoidans were greedy and looking for a way to make their protest known and got all the info they needed from Sids which worked perfectly with his long term plans...
