Two kids the age of 6 and 8 walk into a grocery store all by themselves.
They steal diapers and were caught. The 6 year old said that his mother made him. The county is thinking of pressing charges against the kid. Guilty or Non-Guilty?..Should the mother be blamed?
As for punishment, you have to consider that a 6 year old probably doesn't have the mental capacity to understand a crime like shoplifting. You can't punish a kid for a crime they don't really understand. Plus, at that age when your mom tells you something like that you're probably going to do it.
As far as the mother goes, I think she's wrong for putting her kids in a situation like that. But, it's not like she sent them out to steal a car or rob a bank. She probably needed diapers for her baby or babies.
I know it's easy for some of you to say things about accountability for your actions, but I don't think you've have any right to judge unless you've been in a situation like that.
lol
Well when i was 8 i used to steal sweets from my local shop. Now i would probably never steal anything but back then i wasnt aware of the consequences, i knew it was wrong though. But if you dont know the full story then its hard to comment. I mean if your 6 yrs old and ur mother goes and tells u to steal diapers then i think most kids would. Then again maybe they just stole them for the crack 😑

No the mother should not be blamed. I mean just because they're 6 and 8 doesn't mean they don't know what lying is.
I use to pull that trick all the time when i tried to steal stuff when i was younger. They're lying through their teeth.
