A Question About Palps & Anakin

If this has already been answered im sorry...but...when Anakin finds out about Palp's secret...and then goes back and tells the jedi who palpatine really is...what do the jedi do about anakin? do they forbin him from contacting palpatine? and if so is that what ties the part together about Mace going to fight palpatine then having anakin walk in on them?...just wondering...
