i remember, after i saw it for the first time i sat threw all the credits just trying to understand it...then i watched it again 😛

one thing that confused me (that might not have anything to do with the plot at all) was seeing his mom at the end...she didn't seem sad at all..she was just leaning against a tree smoking a cigarette while the rest of her family was crying..but i dunno maybe i'm over analyzing it

Even though I'm not a fan of the song, I thought the whole sequence at school with Head Over Heels playing was great.

The movie was awesome, it had everything in it. And I liked that sleepy mood of donie darko, kinda reminds me of myself 😉 . God I love Jena! I love her!

Hmmm... well, that's up for interpretation. BTW, saying this is crap is just wrong because you have to think about every little inch of this movie. We don't see the mom smoke in the whole movie until the end, I believe. So she's coping with her son's death by taking up smoking? Or she's just lighting up to relax.

She and Donnie didn't have the best relationship anyway.

Has anyone else seen the 'real' ending to Donnie Darko? All you have to do is go through all the end credits and after the screen goes black you get an extra scene...It makes a lot of sense to the movie as a whole...

I am not talking about a deleted scene. It's on the DVD I have, which is not the 'Directors Cut' edition.

True the scene was abit..."cheesy". I'll have to listen to Ou Be and watch that scene at the end of the original.
