StarWars.Com reports that George Lucas will be making an ulrta-rare convention appearance in Indianapolis at the Celebration 3 event. Hopefully he won't tell everyone to "Get a Life!". ComingSoon.Net will be there reporting.

The Emperor Speaks

Ian McDiarmid was interviewed by Sci-Fi Wire. Of course he had a couple of comments about Revenge of the Sith:

Ian McDiarmid, who plays Emperor Palpatine in the upcoming Star Wars: Episode III—Revenge of the Sith, offered SCI FI Wire spoilerish details about his mysterious and malevolent character, who rivals Darth Vader as the most evil character in the saga. "I think the Emperor is the incarnation of evil, and he's only really interested in power and manipulation," McDiarmid said in an interview. "Nothing else gives him any pleasure. He's a Sith from way back, and they don't have a moral universe. They want to create power for themselves by destroying others. It's very interesting to play a character that is irredeemable. There are even real people that have that kind of motiveless malignancy. It's like watching [former Yugoslavia president Slobodan] Milosevic, somebody that only seems interested in power and manipulation."

Which Line Is It, Mann?

It's the biggest Star Wars scandal since the Star Wars Kid. You may have heard the national coverage about how fans are lined up at Mann's Chinese Theater in Hollywood....and the theater isn't even showing the film. You can see the full history of the affair from the first forum post to the national media attention at TheForce.Net.

Premiere Covers ROTS

You can get a sneak peek at Premiere's Revenge of the Sith coverage over at Rebelscum.Com

Star Wars Fans Gone Wild

Over at NYLine.Org they have a fun video chronicling the Midnight Madness event that took place at the Times Square Toys R Us last weekend. Check it out!

Now I've Seen Everyting

Just in case you think you've seen Star Wars stamped on every product imaginable....think again. Rebelscum points readers to an image of Star Wars toilet paper. I'm not making this up, and no, Jar Jar isn't printed on it. On a slightly more highbrow note, you can also buy wine from Skywalker Ranch. Details are at TheForce.Net.

Ok now, back to topic.

On the Star Wars Website when you click "The Movies" you get a link to each movie, and each one has a picture in it. Episode III STILL has a picture of George Lucas and some other guy. What the hell?

The other guy is the producer, Rick McCallum, They'll probably change it come May 19th..

I thought this was the Master Windu appreciation thread?

seriously though I would have thought that link image would have changed by now

I honestly don't care, can't be much we haven't seen already, they probably forgot about that anyway.

Christensen Wants to Escape Darth's Shadow
Tuesday April 12 2:52 PM ET

Hayden Christensen isn't worried he'll get typecast as Darth Vader the way the villain's two kids did. Christensen figures times have changed since the original "Star Wars" trilogy, which hampered the careers of Mark Hamill and Carrie Fisher because they were so associated with the roles of Darth's children, Luke Skywalker and Princess Leia.

"I haven't had that problem so far," said Christensen. Since being cast as since he was cast as Anakin Skywalker, the future Vader, he has starred in two smaller character pieces, "Life as a House" and "Shattered Glass," and in an upcoming adaptation of Boccaccio's "The Decameron."

"I think it's a little dated, to be honest, the whole typecast thing," Christensen recently told The Associated Press. "I think 20 years ago, 30 years ago, there was only one blockbuster that came out every few years, and so audiences got such a strong association with the actor and the role in the film. Now, there's four or five a summer."

Christensen was plucked from relative obscurity by George Lucas to star as the teenage Anakin in "Star Wars: Episode II Attack of the Clones."

With "Star Wars: Episode III Revenge of the Sith," debuting May 19, Lucas brings the Skywalker saga full circle as Anakin takes the final steps to the dark side and puts on the black Vader suit fans fondly recall from the first trilogy.

While he believes he can avoid becoming typecast, Christensen expects Darth Vader always will be the role for which audiences will best remember him.

"Obviously, it's a very iconic role, so I think inevitably that will always be the strongest association," Christensen said. "I'm happy about that, to sort of always be remembered as Darth. That's what people come up to me and shake my hand for. That's cool."
