Re: Passion of Christ or Last Temptation of Christ?

As far as I am concerned, Mel took the idea of the movie from a previous one "The Last Temptation of Christ" starring Dafoe (based on the book of Kazantzakis, author from Crete, Greece, the same author of Zorba the Greek)
and as far as i'm concerned, they all took it from the bible... including that heston bastard.
Last Temptation was a take off, and not fact-based. Who knows what Jesus was thinking when he was murdered? probably "my hand hurts" and not "what would i do if a had a pinto or a jalopy".
Passion, as Roeper said, is {woody allen paraphrasing} the most intense, and emotional telling of the story which will never be forgotten.
