Dungeons and Dragons RPG Game thread: "Eastern Storm Rising"

(It is.)

This is indeed a normal wooden door

Ander opens it.

Ander slowly opens the door, inside there are three man sitting around a table in the far left corner. They were apparently playing cards. Two of them are wearing a white cape, they are also wearing some kind of leather armor and they appear to have two hand crossbows each. The last one looks kinda like an elf but with Black skin and white hair, he has no weapons visible and is dressed in plain cloths. Since they are all surprised (they didn't hear you or anything) you guys get a surprise round, basically you can act and they can't, they are denied their DEX Bonus to AC so Kan and Vash can deal sneak attack damage.

The order of battle is the following
- Kan: 16/8/16/30ft:
- Ander: 13/7/12/30ft
- Sarwyn: 9/10/16/30ft:
- Vash: 5/6/13/30ft:
- Rusky: 2/6/13/20ft:
- Foe1: ?/?/13/30ft: SURPRISED
- Foe2: ?/?/10/30ft: SURPRISED
- Foe3: ?/?/13/30ft: SURPRISED

Ander is standing in the door way as it is, but he can move for people to get in the room, Sarwyn is the only one who has a position from which she can shoot in the room.

(again first number is Initiative, Second is current HP, third is current AC and forth is movement.)

(So Kan can't get in?)

Ander jumps to the left of the doorway, inside the room, casting magic missile.

crap forgot to post that rule, you can move through a space occupied by an ally so everyone can get in

I'll sneak attack on one of the white hoods

I assume you'll use your light crossbow. you switch places with Ander and you shoot. Saddly enough you miss, you hit the chair the man is sitting on instead.

- Kan: 16/8/16/30ft: DONE
- Ander: 13/7/12/30ft
- Sarwyn: 9/10/16/30ft:
- Vash: 5/6/13/30ft:
- Rusky: 2/6/13/20ft:
- Foe1: ?/?/13/30ft: SURPRISED
- Foe2: ?/?/10/30ft: SURPRISED
- Foe3: ?/?/13/30ft: SURPRISED

Ander jumps through the doorway, to the left and flings out his magic missile, Trickster feel free to describe the casting and the missile. Which hits (ofc) a man with a cape, not Kan's target, for five damage. The man screams out in pain

- Kan: 16/8/16/30ft: DONE
- Ander: 13/7/12/30ft: DONE
- Sarwyn: 9/10/16/30ft:
- Vash: 5/6/13/30ft:
- Rusky: 2/6/13/20ft:
- Foe1: ?/?/13/30ft: SURPRISED
- Foe2: ?/?/10/30ft: SURPRISED
- Foe3: ?/-5/13/30ft: SURPRISED

I aim for the other man in the white cape and release the arrow.

Rusky charges in (figuratively speaking) slashing at one of the persons..

(isn't this kinda weird.. .I mean, we cut a hole through the wall of a house, get in, look around and when the probable "OWNERS" see us we kill them.. hmm... I have my doubts about this..)

(I' m quite sure they are evil but it would have been adroit to know for sure. You have the Detect Evil feature so in the future...)

Sarwyn hits her target, for 7 damage and the guy drops to the floor screaming.

- Kan: 16/8/16/30ft: DONE
- Ander: 13/7/12/30ft: DONE
- Sarwyn: 9/10/16/30ft: DONE
- Vash: 5/6/13/30ft:
- Rusky: 2/6/13/20ft:
- Foe2: ?/?/10/30ft: SURPRISED
- Foe3: ?/-5/13/30ft: SURPRISED

(Rusky feel free to use your Detect Evil ability whenever you want, just tell me to do so, just for the record yes these guys are evil.)

Wait a minute....I don't have a crossbow....i chose staff and short sword, with the sword as a back up...mainly using the staff

Crap wrong sheet, my bad. But it doesn't change much because you can take out your weapon and move, but then you can't attack I'll rule you took out your staff ready to move next round.

Next time try to specialise which weapon you are using tho

Why not use it now, Rusky?

Hey... No fair, I don't get to stab someone!

(well...Fire said these guys ARE indeed evil so that's a moot point...will keep it in mind for future reference though)

Well...Rusky moves in and slashes the bad guys 😄

they are too far away from where you are Rusky, unless you charge, which means Kan has to get out of the way, which will cost him his place in the initiative order by two places you can't charge.

🙂 ok...i'll just get closer then..

Seeing as Kan is willing to move Rusky your call charge or just walk in? (and then Kan doesn't have to move)
