The Silver Surfer is much too fast to be "jumped" by any of the JLA members. Telepathy doesn't work on him, WW wouldn't last two seconds, and neither would Superman. He's got the speed to KO all of them in the first nanoseconds of the fight.

Another thing that needs to be discussed is teamwork. The JLA have been working together longer than anybody even the Avengers. Thor and Surfer spent most of their time fighting eachother. The teamwork of the JLA outclasses the guys no matter how powerful they are.
No time for teamwork. This isn't a JLA comic, and Surfer will be going all out. He'll blast a crater the size of Gotham City before they plan anything.
