Silver Surfer & Thor vs JLA

I give this to the jla due to the lanterns. If they were not in the fight, I could see this going to thor and surfer more often then not. Surfer or thor alone versatily is >> the jla, combined and knowing that they are going against a powerful team, the output of power that they'll be unleashing would be world shattering. There are a lot of people that soloed the jla that dont even compare in power to these two combatants, but with the gl's there, the duo isnt winning this. Take the gl out and I would give the duo a winning shot because the lanterns can just put a shield over the league and cancel out the power that thor and surfer are unleashing.

IMO the JLA will take this - there are too many members who have powers to at least rival Thor and he will be brought down hard and fast - the rest will easily overcome the Silver Surfer - after all this isn't the Fantastic Four.
Superman, Wonderwoman and MM will make roadkill of Thor while in the meantime the 2 GLs and Batman (he'll think of somthing no doubt) will hold back Silver Surfer until the rest regroup - which will lead to only one logical outcome.

I agree, even though I dont think that theyll make road kill of thor since he is the most powerful on the field next to surfer. If thor plays his cards right, he could take out most of the team. If he goes in fighting like a brute, he would be road kill.

Any of the JLA, save Batman and Wonder Woman, can beat Thor and the two lanterns can, at least, draw with the Surfer one on one.

AMEN to that.

Thor has had too many problems with the Juggernaut and Hulk....guys that the JLA could eliminate easily. Supes has already beaten Thor...and it is canon. A bloodlusted Supes could still beat Silver Surfer, imo. But, with two lanterns, Flash, and MM there...no need for that...they would take Surfer down hard.

Hell, DS beats down on the Surfer...and the JLA stop DS all the damn time....so, no way is this duo coming close to winning this fight.

Well since thor had problems with hulk and juggernaut I could also say that the jla has had problems with despero, who is just a physical brawler and grundy, who is a physical brawler, along with other physical characters. Yeah supes did beat thor but Ironman almost knocked superman out with a repulsor ray in that same comic, having him scream in pain.

Superman isnt doing nothing to surfer. Surfer can physically take anything that superman can dish out whereas surfer can absorb superman very essense or turn him into torlet tissue. Superman isnt the one deciding the outcome of this battle. If they want to win they are going to have to fight as a group because that is what its going to take to bring two people of this caliber down.

Hell thor could just depower the entire team or take there souls or create planet scale destruction in the small battle field that theyre fighting at.

Despero is probably the strongest telepath in the Dc universe he uses his telepathy when dealing with the JLA or he would be overwhelmed physically. if you read the jla/jsa book you would have known that despero physically beat both teams. 2nd, superman aint taking no thor out and especially not as fast as you think. Do me a favor, show me a scan of superman taking someone out in thors caliber before they even make an attack. You must not know that thor is near invulnerable. If superman can take out people in thor caliber so easily why do he always fall under when fighting captain marvel, why did he stalemate black adam, let me guess, youre going to say that they were fighting at light speed when in fact all the humans that was around seen every punch that was thrown. Wait let me think of another excuse that your going to make, youre going to say that superman was holding back when in the comic when he was fighting black adam, he stated that when fighting black adam, theres no need to hold back.

Superman recently took on an amped Kalibak And Mantis. He can take out Thor.

That would make since as Thor is generally depicted as Surfer's superior. However Kal would likely be able to defeat Surfer. For the majority? Possibly, but doubtful.
