Which one for the win?

Luminara versus Bastila

Something interesting. Let's hope it actually stirs some interest.

i have to ask this
who the hell is luminara????????

http://www.starwars.com/databank/character/luminaraunduli/

She's the Jedi with the tire-track goatee.

Tire tracks... lol

Here's another site I found, seems mostly dedicated to her.

thnx ill check it out

Bastila.

I disagree, honestly. While Bastila is a very capable Jedi knight, she was rather rash and arrogant. Luminara, on the other hand, is more calm and capable, and has a wonderful command of the Force if you read up on her.

Well apparantly she can do moves that nobody else can even dream off, she'd defeat Bastila who isn't that great a fighter

Reading A Storm Approaches (I believe it's titled) we see Obi Wan, Anakin, and Luminara and her apprentice Barriss in action many times. Luminara is quite capable for a Jedi and more serene and certain than Bastila was.

How about Bastila and the power of the star forge. She was a little stronger then. Don't forget she was traveling with Revan. She did learn a thing or two when she was with him. Can Luminara beat her now?

Bastila her greatest powers were with the force, she does not have control of the Star Forge, never did....

Luminara seems more focused and can apparantly move like hell, Bastila would not be able to defeat something like that... Not unless her force powers were a lot more powerful... Then she could just keep Luminara away from her and kill her from a distance

Sith are strong indeed, but Bastila wasn't that much stronger when Revan confronted her. She had learned manipulation of dark side powers, but a competent Jedi Knight could still outmanuerver that (See Obi Wan versus Dooku in AOTC). I am doubting that Malak was able to teach her comprehensive fighting styles in their little time together, and why would he when all he wanted her for was her famed Battle Meditation?

And Luminara probably has more experience in general, since she was entrusted with a padawan. Bastila was without an apprentice, being considered not old or mature enough to have one.

As for learning from Revan, it's doubtful. True, she was observing him, but not for battle technique. He was not much wiser than a fresh padawan considering his memory had been wiped recently, and only his amazing intellect and Force ability really showed through. In any case, there's no evidence to suggest Bastila learned from Revan, unless you consider the dark side ending, and even then he just "Hey, Bastila, I'm going out to check on something... be back whenever." right after the victory of the Star Forge.

Luminara imo

Luminara in all but attractivity.
