I want to know, is that ACTUALLY true, or is it just because thats the way it was filmed? i mean it's a hell of a lot easier i'm sure to do fast lightsaber scenes now than it used to be. Plus does anakin lose all of his abilitys when he becomes Darth Vader? I read somewhere before that he shouldn't lose his abilitys cause he can still use the force. DUnno if i'm right or wrong, just bringing up my thoughts lol.
Vader goes from being more powerful than Sidious(potentially twice as powerful) to 80% less powerful. But he was still incredibly powerful, and had cybernetic enhancements General Grievous style, so he would still have really good reflexes and the force to beat some Obi-Wan ass with.
Jedi_Knightall, you're right, back then it was much harder to film a fight and the sabers they used weren't able to be moved as fast because they could have broken easier back then.
Truth is Vader is still more powerful than Obi-Wan and he wouldn't be wreckless like Maul was. Although Maul TOTALLY outclassed Obi-Wan.
OK what's all this about Maul TOTALLY outclassing Obi-Wan? Are there two different versions of TPM out there? Cause in the one I saw, Obi-Wan clearly held his own against the sith lord and had him on the run. I agree Maul is more powerful but saying he totally owned Obi-Wan in that duel is just a masterpiece in the art of BULLSHIT. And Yes, Vader very likely takes this one. I know OT Vader is weaker than ROTS Vader but still, you can't give the guy no props at all. Obi-Wan in TPM was still a padawan and was much less experienced than Vader. But I bet ROTS Obi-Wan can take Vader down though.

Maul was wreckless for an instant, and the instant cost him his life. if you'll notice(you know, during the entire duration of the fight up until that point) Maul makes Obi Wan his ***** the entire time. Point is though....Vader would eat TPM obi wan for breakfast.

sorry nefarus, i quoted the wrong one!!
lol, thanks.
But I mean did everyone watch the same fight, Maul was toying with him almost. I admit, Obi-Wan pulled a slick move when sliced Maul's saber in half, but what did Maul do? He leaped upward, dodging a swing at the same time, then did this crazy flip over another swing, then parry parry, force push.
Pathetic Jedi
