Gladiator has lost to Cannonball. No I can't give the issue because my comics are in storage but if I remember right it was a christmas special. Cannonball was loosing then he remembered that Gladiator gets weak when his confidence fails so he bluffed his way into winning.

In all Gladiator, and Supes both have a good chance at winning. Superman can win if he decided to think, and not just go head to head, and even then he has a slim chance to still win if he can keep up with Gladiator.

Apparently Hyperion is already out of the fight. Good cause I don't know anything about him.

Superman against Shazam...It can go either way just like Gladiator, and Supes.

Overall I'd root for Superman to win, and if he takes the battle closer to the sun he'd win. If they are on Earth Gladiator would win cause Superman doesn't use full speed. In Space its anybodies game.

I don't know if CM can go into space. Superman can, Gladiator can, and I don't know nothing about Hyperion.

Gladiator wasn't tring to kill Cannonball. Period

Just cuz of few low showings doesn't make him weak

And he still lost to Cannonball, and Gladiator was fighting him. Gladiator was the one who started the fight so even if he didn't try to kill him he was still trying something since he started the fight.

Also never said Gladiator was weak he just can get weak cause of confidence issues.

If Gladiator wanted to kill Cannonball, he could have, easily. Leave it to bad writing. Just like Deathstroke taking on the JLA, slashing the Flash, just bad writing.

Okay so Cannonball didn't win cause the fight was stopped but he still knocked Gladiator down when before he couldn't do nothing to him at all before the bluff.

And if Flash, and GL hadn't of been there I think Slade could have taken those members of the JLA that he took on.

But Slade hitting the Flash? The one who runs at the speed of light? C'mon, that's bullsh!t

Slade didnt hit Flash. Flash ran into the sword.

Flash running into the Blade wasnt unrealistic. Slade uses 90% of his brain power and he was expecting it. Remember, he has years of experience fighting speedsters. Flash got cocky and thought it was a walk in the park. Therefore he payed for it, by not seeing the sword sticking out till it was too late.

Kyle on the other had was terrible writing. All of a sudden he doesnt wanna use the ring, but want to get into a fist fight with Slade who is about 5x stronger. Go figure. But What Slade DID to Kyle made perfect sense. He tried to break Kyles willpower, which he did and also tried to take controll of the ring. Which he could have also i think.

Everything would have been moving in slow motion to Flash. He would see the sword, and explosions wouldn't have worked. I mean in one of his own comics he Went from Keystone to Metropolis, to Gotham, to wherever Kyle lives, got bombs out of each town, went all the way to the desert (I forget what one), came back got a computer, upgraded it to scroll at light speed, and defeated the villain then got back to his wife, and he was gone for a second or two according to her.

I have that comic too. Awesome. Flash had to build up that speed with all the feats he did that night. He knew that there were bombs with times, so he had a deadline. In Crisis, he didnt think much of it. Thats why he was the first to go. After Elongated Man.

Still running into a sword thats behind Slade's back just isn't plausible to me.

Flash was blindsided by the explosions, and didnt see it. Careless error on his part.

I still can't see Flash being dumb enough. I mean he knows who Slade is doesn't he?

please read the issue again with cannonball and gladiator. Thru the entire fight gladiator was toying with cannonball. Towards the end gladiator got tired and wanted to end the fight, so he told cannonball that this punch he make will send him directly to the sun. With cannonball scared like all mutants he tapped into a new power and absorbed gladiator punch and sent it back at him. Gladiator flew into a building and got right back up no win for cannonball. If you were to say anything gladiator actually helped cannonball, he made him tap into a new power that he didnt knew he had.

like i said before cannonball used his force field, absorbed gladiator punch and sent it back to him. If it was cannonball and superman and cannonball pull the same stunt on it would have worked. I think that if that punch would have connected with superman, I think that he would of felt it more than gladiator would have. If you read any issue with gladiator in it, it always state that he has the power to do anything that he puts his mind to. If you dont have radiation youre not beating him. I understand about his confidence but that is something that hardley ever drop, unless you have a force field like invisible women. If not then he is going to consider the others a good fight and do his best. which that would leave to a win for him.
