That would be cool, except my poetry (in my humble opinion) isn't all that great....

Well I think the same of mine lol. We are our own worst critics, after all.

[b]Moon

The moon was clouded tonight
Enveloped in darkness,
Enshrouding the light.
The moon did not show its color
The moon was obscured tonight.

I wondered why
The moon this night,
It’s color dim,
form grim,
Would bother coming out at all
To know it’d darken the world so small.

And under the hum,
Of the moving car
Blinded by these moving lights
I understand that the moon is sad
That we so cruelly replaced it.
That the moon is only clouded
Because of us.

Very nice 😊

Dank you 😊

Domino

Life is a domino set, we set
ourselves up to fall. We
live to order ourselves,
and at first glance
we are slim and
not worth
noticing.

But low when the finger falls,
to drop the first domino,
slowly but surly our
image takes form
and people
begin to
notice.

But the sorrow be in,
though the beauty
sublime, that
to notice
our image,
we all must
first die.

And the time to comment,
is far and gone. To
appreciate what
once was. Ergo
Look at the
presence
and give
thanks.

How very true that is :aww:

cool sequence, like the falling syllable deal.

Shadow

Abyssal shadow standing tall
cast a shade on me.
Envelop my world in clouds enshrouding
take me to a world afar.

Eclipse the sun that brings blind light.
Cast away the moon and stars.
Cure the ailments, heal the strain,
Remove the stress, take away the pain.

Don't spare the town,
take the kingdoms too.
Bring down their flags so high.
Teach them humility, kindness and love.
Kill their vices bury their pride.

Oh, Abyssal darkness of past so true.
King of silent reign.
Hush them now, keep them still.
Bring the quiet here to stay.

Rhyme of the Ancient Barridier

Many people of asked me if I can rhyme,
to sing them the stories
of men who have died.
To tell them of tales
of fables long told.
Recount them of epics
ancient and old.

I've summoned by kings
of legends renown,
Who's riches are endless
and powers unbound.
To hum them the tune
of old victories past.
From the abyssal gloom
from which memories have cast.

So with a smile on my face
and but a tear in my heart,
I strike at my violin, my lyre, my harp.
And from it comes a sound
With unprecedented accord.
Harmonic music,
Illustrious words.

And the kings are happy,
joyous, content.
As I leave their gold halls
with an air of contempt.
For they will only know
of the victories they ask.
But I will remember of defeats
in the past.

No one will know
The things that I've seen.
Those which were
And the ones to be.
But they only wish known
Of illusions of grandeur,
Of gluttonous riches,
Of wizards and witches.
But seldom they wish
To be told of the fallen.
To the remember the battles
from which kingdoms have crumbled.
Or the ones with heroes
Who tragically fall.
The heroes once epic
Mighty and tall.
Or the beauties destroyed
By all of mankind,
Which deny the children
True riches divine.
Or once more denied
Nature’s sweet taste
To be given the bitter flavor
Of the whole human race.

Prayer to the Moon

Crescent smile so far high,
A drift amongst the stars above.
Humble we, who art so small,
To bask in thine's heavenly love.

The sun who's kindness ne'r errs to show.
Granting us the gift of warmth.
But all that glitters is not gold,
heralding heats and droughts and storms.

But truest friend, who art not great.
Humbled in thou palest gray.
Greets us always with your light.
Who, in the darkness, guides us in life.

Amen

Nice. I like the variance in the rhyming scheme. It makes the poem seem more personal, like an exclamation, more than verse. Nicely done.

I actually really like the fact that alot of your poems are religious and stuff. It adds flavor to it, y'know? Alotta people today are aetheist, so I think that showing faith adds a certain unique quality to your writing.

I like the stories.

I will translate that poem one day. One day...

you'll never get my hay penny NEVER shakefist

That's alright. It's yours. I wouldn't take it from you. xD But that poem gives me a challenge to work on. =D
