Random quote. And yes, the new Quas is ILL!

Mars Ill is a really good "christian" group. A good group period.

Also check out LA Symphony along with Pigeon John.

1.I like Gospel rap music.
2. There is such thing and it does not sound corny, and it does not go blaa.....Jesus....bla bla.....God
3. Its my taste and i respect other peoples taste, say whay you like doesnt bother me.

If there are two things I hate the most in all of the world, they are:
1) Rap
And,
2) Gospel

Combining the two, (like Kanye West 😘 (sp?) did), just makes me want to vomit even more....😘

BTW> How can a Christian listen to such violent and satanic themes that are prominent in Rap Music, and still like it? 😕

Rap is not satanic. Depends who raps!
The defenition of rap is not violent and satanic. Its the pple that turned it too that, and its a shame.
You heard Kirk Franklin? Yolanda Adams? etc.
They are rap and gospel, and they are great!

DCL > Most of the time when people make statements like that, it means they only like rock. And imo if someone only likes one style of music, their opinion or critique on other genres carry less weight...

b-chick > is Kirk Franklin really considered hip-hop? 😕 I haven't heard him rhyme once. He just kinda preaches over the beat doesn't he?

... and Yolanda Adams?!! I'm not trying to talk bad about her kind of music, bb. But I wouldn't call it hip-hop.

Personally I'd rather listen to violent sin filled gangsta rap than listen to Christian rap..

Yea Soul Heir the Manchild and Dust are a part of Deepspace. Personally I liked the Mars Ill albums over the Deepspace material.

haha, yea christian rap can really suck at times. There's only a select few that I will listen to.

D-Double> I actually like some pop, (and I didn't mind Eminem's first album/CD).
But think about it: Promient Rap spouts violence and sadism....
And Gospel-Rap? That's just sad. ❌
I laughed my @ss off during a segment called "Fromage 2005", when a sock-puppet tore apart a Christian/Gospel Rapper's video....in a way, the video actually made fun of the Religion it was supposed to be preaching....
Afro-Cheese> I wholeheartedly agree. ✅
Gangsta' Rap over Gospel-Rap, any freaking day....😉

Sadism?? Where exactly are you getting this from?

And it's always going to be sad that people will remain ignorant about hip-hop.

JUST BECAUSE IT'S ON TELEVISION AND THE RADIO DOESN'T MEAN THAT'S THE ONLY HIP-HOP THAT EXISTS.

But, people will believe whatever they're fed. Like what's on TV is hip-hop.

and as long as 14 year old teens (and mindless idiots of all ages) demand it, they'll get it.

People want to dance, not think.

But what do you expect from a country that votes George Bush into office.

Amen to that.

El Producto for president.

MF D00m> Yes. Sadism.
For example, in nearly every Eminem, 50 Cent, or other Rapper's songs, they "preach" Sadism and violence. "Kill", "Murder", etc. I don't know the exact song, but in one of Eminem's, he speaks about beating his wife to death....very disturbing.

Oh yea Anakin slaughtering the Jedi along with the younglings and killing his wife is cool though, right?

Believe everything you see on TV. You're not the first. Not the last.

Rap music, on top of being art, is a form of entertainment. Rap songs with violence in them aren't preaching violence any more than an action movie with violence in it is.
