okay, i'm new here, and i wrote this fanfic ages ago, i love it and i thought you guys might too, so here it is.

Chapter one-Daddy died.
Luna sat, tears streaming down her face. She couldn’t believe what had just happened; she’ll have nightmares for the rest of her life.
Her fathers head was resting on her lap. His convulsions had ended 5 minuets earlier, and now he lay across the floor, as still as stone.
“Daddy” she whispered, “daddy she said a little louder when there was no reply. She felt his neck for a pulse. There was none. She felt his wrist to check there. Again there was none.

this isnt all i ran out of room.

it is good so far, luna as luna loovegood or just some other luna

“Oh daddy, how could you leave me?” she asked *where’s that stupid house elf, he should be back with a healer by now* she thought to herself
She sat in silence, her tears dripping from her face to her fathers. More tears came as her fathers death hit home. She started to choke, and cried even harder.
“DUMBLEDORE!” she screamed at the top of her voice.
“You hollered?” said a voice softly.
“Oh Professor Dumbledore, he’s gone, he left me when he promised.”
“Luna!” shouted Ginny who had accompanied Dumbledore here when Luna shouted.
“Luna didn’t say anything, or move; she didn’t seem to know what was going on, or what to do. Ginny ran to sit beside Luna and was keeping her distracted while Dumbledore conjured a stretcher and levitated Mr. Lovegood on to it.

“Daddy!” Luna shouted “Daddy don’t leave me! Please don’t leave me!”
“Come on Luna, there’s nothing you can do, let’s go”
“Ginny?” asked Luna, as if coming back from a different world.
“Yes come on lets go.”
“I can’t go anywhere, Daddy’s gone to the shop, and he’ll get mad.”
“Dumbledore, what shall I do?”
“She’s just in shock, here take this get you and Luna to your house while I sort this out, tell your parents what happened. I’ll be over later to talk to you all.”
He handed Ginny an inner tube portkey and put a spell on it so Luna would see something else.
“Hey Luna, come see what I got.” Ginny called over
“Wow, can I have it?” said Luna
“yes, here you go” Ginny handed Luna the inner tube while keeping hold of one end and counted down from three.

In a few seconds they were in the Weasleys kitchen. Mrs. Weasley walked in and was shocked to find two girls in there.
“Ginny, I thought you were staying at Hogwarts for Christmas.”
“I am, well I was, but Luna’s dad has just died.” Explained Ginny
“Oh my gosh, how? Is she alright?” Mrs. Weasley asked
“She’s in shock, but I don’t know how long for.”
“Ginny?” said Luna unexpectantly, “what are we doing here? Daddy’s dieing, we need to help him!”
“Don’t worry, professor Dumbledore is helping him.”
“I don’t care, we have to get to him!” she grabbed Ginny wrist and dragged her out side.
