I've just been studying this in A level Biology, and I was wondering...

How much do you really KNOW about AIDS and HIV?

Because I learnt a lot of stuff, and I understand it a lot more now, I was wondering what falsehoods and truths everyone else knows.

If this is too bad a topic, I don't mind if you close it Raz.

it depends on how much someone claims that it's all the fault of gay people and that it's their decease, phoe 😖

yeah, I was just wondering what everyone knew or thought they knew about it

I was gonna post it last night so people would reply straight away, but the modem had a hissy fit

I did a project about AIDS some years ago, I don't remember many things, but I'm not completely illiterate about it 😬
We also studied it at Biology two years ago I think.

I know young heterosexual females are the fastest growing population of AIDS and HIV infected people. It's definitely not a gay thing. And you need to be careful about the kinds of condoms you use because Nonoxydol-9 can increase the chances of tranferring the HIV infection to a female partner because it irritates the vaginal wall.

And as a P.S. genital warts and herpes can be given from one person to another even while wearing a condom. One just takes skin to skin contact and the other is mucosal contact. Just when you thought it was safe to have sex again. 😱

All i know is that Magic Johnson had it...and it doesn't seem that he has it anymore. Apparently the rich can do anything...

I know a bit about it, however I think I know enough 😄

I have read a lot about the crisis in Africa and Asia
I know some about how the retrovirus works 😖

I wouldn't say I know a lot about it but I know what happens when HIV first enters your body

I FIRMLY believe Human Immunodeficiency Virus is actually a form of biological warfare created by the US government.

I just can't believe that something like this can just pop up out of nowhere.

wow how brilliant....so the US government created it and then shipped it to South Africa so it could mass produce like a colony of bees and then they re-introduced it in large quantities to the United States?
