A few Questions about the 1985 movie "Lifeforce"!

If the alien humanoids in the film are called "Vampires", how come they don't have fangs or suck blood like regular vampires?

Anyone felt the idea about how vampires got their origins from a race of aliens is almost the exact same idea from the original Vampirella comics?

And anyone thinks this movie inspired the recent "Dawn of the Dead" remake? the similar type of zombies like in Lifeforce that run fast and screech, infecting the world.

But don't all vampires are suppose to have fangs or drink blood? these ones didn't, they didn't felt like the traditional vampire, i just wanna know why are the humanoids called vampires?
