How long have we been playing Diablo 2?

the necromancer was the 1 class i never really messed around wirh, i dont know why.

i did have a sorceress once, which i specialised in ice magic, she was bad ass

my first character was an assassin actually (when I played offline single player).. then when i went online I went pally .. as for a ranking system of my favorite classes it would be

Paladin
Amazon
Druid
Sorceress
Assassin
Necromancer
Barbarian

I dont think I left any classes out.. but thats basically my order of favoritism among the classes

you probably had it good then.. people just messed the game up (unless you strictly played with friends) by using trade hacks.. hacked weapons / armor

gold wasnt even worth anything, so you had to trade SOJ (stone of jordan ring) which were almost non existant after 1.08
it just got out of hand.. thankfully I had a group of friends that I religiously played with

There was no Hackers on Battlenet, Only on that other multiplayer thing you could choose when u use yor single player charater.

Open Battle.net...yeah I played that....

found a SOJ on nightmare, black marsh once with about 150 magic, when i use to play it.

There was always hacking on closed b.net. In the early days it was mostly in the form of packet sniffing. There were people trading hundreds of sojs at a time.

And gold still isn't worth anything.

mmhmm... and I remember I had tried to trade someone for a 40% ED jewel.. and when I laid the item on the trade table (and picked it back up cuz I wasnt that stupid).. the bastard had a hack that kicked me off of battlenet and shut down diablo 2.. he was without my jewel however as the trade never went through (thanks to my picking it back up)

i hate playing on open bnet because of the dumb hacking. im just one of those people who doesn't cheat. i think it ruins the fun. and ass holes alwasy come in and think they are cool because their lvl 99 trained char can kill you then they leave the game.

d2 is one of those games that you stop playing but then later on you get a strange craving for it and you just have to play. even though you have uninstalled and reinstalled it a million times. it sucks when your closed bnet accounte expires and you lose your work, but its how you avoind hacking, or private games with friends.

i just started a new paladin a couple nights ago. lvl 20 right now i think. im going hammer as i havent gone hammer before. any1 wanna play sometime let me know

i was against hacking for the first yr i played but then i started getting bored so i started botting and made a nice amount of $$$ on ebay selling items..but then i got banned about a yr later..so then i started playing mods....thats where the fun is, everyone should check out the Komodo mod, its a online mod so its pretty much just like bnet xcept its run on private servers, there's tons of new items/skills/monsters..the only hack allowed is maphack..

I never played Diablo I or II cause i was too busy playing Buldur's Gate 😍 and BG owns all.... especially in SHadows of Amn 😍 droolio
