prob w/ iTunes

Hey,
lately my itunes has been screwy.
When i copy my songs from library and then when i click my main playlist on my ipod, the itunes program just stops responding.

does anybody know why this keeps happening?

I got a problem/Question: when I play MP3's with iTunes they don't use my sattelite speakers. But then when I play them with Windows Media Player they are getting used. Is it a fluke in iTunes or is it an option that needs to be turned on???

I'm using iTunes 6.**
