That's because, as a summon, each supernova draws the opponents targeted into a completely separate dimension. The main planet and its population remain unaffected for that very reason, the party presumably had means to defend themselves against it, and the fact that each supernova is drawn from a different dimension would account for the planets in every new dimension being intact.
