Porcupine Tree

These guys totally deserve their own thread. Even since I got “In Absentia” I've thought they were great. They're progressive rock (although some may care to argue that), and they sound like they have a lot of Pink Floyd influence. Anyone who likes Pink Floyd or prog should check them out.

I'm actually listening to their new album "Deadwing", that just came out today, right now. I'm still on the first song but I really dig what I'm hearing so far. I'll comment more on the new album when I get home from work (I just wanna stay home and jam this CD, but money is equally important as music...if not more).

I listen to Pink Floyd and own bootlegs and everything!

While they were obviously an influence, they still really don't sound that much like Pink Floyd. They're much better, for a start.

Anyway, a very simple and quick use of the search function would have shown that these guys already do have their own thread(s).
