i thought Dinos were more connected with Birds then with reptiles (from what we know anyway)

Yes, I believe birds themselves come from reptilian species
that evolved wings and the ability of flight. Though I guess
it may not be believed by everyone.

didn't know if this has been talked about

I do not think so.After seeing Jecistic park I think it would be possible but I can't see it happening since I am againt playing god anyway.Nothering good can happen from cloning stuff.JM 😉

Jecistic park 😆

Once again, what has this got to do with philosophy?

Innocent mistake, my good man.

Philosophy? Well, I suppose it is a part of the discussion on
cloning, which is partly an ethical issue.

more likely will be cloning of Mammoths Sabertooth tigers and the like
but the process to get a 100% clone would take generations of cloned animals. the first time they would clone it it would only be partly mammoth. they would have to use that egg from the cloned one and add more of the DNA from a actual mammoth to clone again to get it closer to the real thing..

I support cloning.

Naive mistake, not innocent.

I don't support cloning unless it's to use healthy, fresh parts to help those already here.

The last thing we need is more idiots.

Cheers, thanks. Paleontology is one of my favorite pastimes.

WASHINGTON - A 70-million-year-old Tyrannosaurus rex fossil dug out of a hunk of sandstone has yielded soft tissue, including blood vessels and perhaps even whole cells, U.S. researchers reported on Thursday.

I copied this from msnbc.com

i'll try to find the link right now.

Yes, it certainly does. I was in awe the whole time I watched this video. I consider myself to more well informed than your average guy walking down the street when it comes to dinosaurs; considering how long I've been studying them. I've even been on a dig in Montana. I am embarassed by the fact that I missed this discovery.

While it doesn't look like, at least at this time, there's any DNA to harvest, the possible advancement of the science may end up being able to use the protien samples to answer alot of questions. The fact that these samples most closely resemble osterich cells, then it is certainly possible that the arguments on the true naturee of dinosaurs can be put to rest. I think this will go a long way towards putting to rest the argument over dinosaurs being warm blooded v. cold blooded. This is very exciting times. I notice this story appeared in March. Which explains why I haven't seen it. The last few months have been very hectic for me. I've only really had a chance to sit back and do nothing for th elast few weeks. This is ecellent news, indeed.

just think.
It could happen again but with even more left behind!
I can't wait to see what else we might be able to learn from this

hmm i missed that story too..i heard about it but never saw the video.
it will be nice to see if they find even more someday
