Hmmm, a back tattoo like any other tattoo, is relative to the person being tattooed and the individual rendering that tattoo. Every person has a different level of pain tolerance and different people hurt more or less in different areas. For the most part, the lower down you go the more it hurts, also over the spine seems to be a tender area, but the closer that you get to the side also seems bad... there are other mitigating circumstances, such as som girls have a more pronounced group of nerve endings near the small of thier back that will be an intense pain sometimes, overall, as I stated, it is relative the the people involved.... it also seems that when girls get tattooed in groups, it hurts more, no matter where, and when guys get tattooed in groups, it generally hurts less. But again, it is all relative....
