Thanos usually never trades punch for punch with opponents in a physical battle..not to say that he can't..but he just would not do so unless he was trying to amuse himself in some way shape or form. He'd quickly realize DD's level of strength, power, durability, and take him out through non physical means(ie as stated before, teleportation, magic, cosmic power, etc, etc..)
