Damn, look at my thread go!

Well, The Day The World Went Away (Quiet) is still really the only song that does it for me. But the cover of Metal on Things Falling Apart is really damn good! And Soundgarden's Blow Up The Outside is up there.

Hm I wouldn't call it beautiful as such, but it's very good. I love the way it builds and builds, and just as you expect it to climax in that loud Reznor-ish way, it just sort of floats off with the acoustic guitars.

Metallica - Fade To Black
Guns and Roses - November Rain

A-TEENS "I promised myslef"
Linkin park "my december"
Third eye blind "jumper"
Jesse mccartney "beautiful soul"
DJ sammy feat yanou "heaven"

strange mix..but i like those songs a lot

One from the LOTR: ROTK soundtrack. No, more than that.
They are called:
The Fields of the Pelennor
Into the West
The Return of the King
The Gray Havens

Everytime-Britney Spears
My Immortal-Evanescence(Amy Lee)
Hold On-Good Charlotte
the themes from Halo 1 and 2.
Superman-Five for Fighting
And that's all I know.

Adaggio for Strings is an awesome shout.

I also think Cavelleria Rusticana is gorgeous.

Feel flows by the Beach Boys
Sweet Child O' Mine
America by Simon and Garfunkel
She Bangs the Drum by the Stone Roses

But the most beautiful of all is Caledonia, by Dougie McLean. A truly wonderful, pride-filled, teary slice of genius

Carol King "Child of mine"
Madonna "Take a Bow"
Kyu Sakamoto "Sukiyaki"
Diana Ross "If we hold on together"
Bonnie Tyler "Total eclipse of the heart"
Selena "Dreaming of you"
Rikki Nakano "Suteki da ne"

green day - good riddance, boulevard of broken dreams

oasis - wonder wall, stop crying your heart out

boys to men - in the still of the night, i'll make love to you

the police - every breath you take

u2 - walk on, with or without you

goo goo dolls - iris, black balloon

coldplay - the scientist

edwin mccain - i'll be

aerosmith - i dont wanna miss a thing, dream on

My Immortal by Evanescence

1) Redemption Song - Bob 'The Mofo' Marley
2) The Crying of Lot 49 - Yo La Tengo
3) Your Song - Elton John
4) What A Wonderful World - Sam Cooke
5) Lay Lady Lay - Bob Dylan
6) In My Life - The Beatles
7) Imagine - John Lennon
8) You are so beautiful - Joe Cocker

All those songs are beautiful in different ways...

Numbers 3, 5 and 8 will definitely help set the luuuuurvin mood...

Talk Tonight - Oasis

Weirdly, Silverchair - The Greatest View... I saw them live, and the lead singer was really struggling, he was brought onstage in a wheelchair and had to sit down half-way through the set... it just moved me for some reason
