Terry Bogard and Akuma would be a good fight. How bout Geese and Ryu? Cool fights.
Naw, Akuma would smoke him. Geese vs Akuma would be a better fight, but Akuma would still smoke him. Based on the animes and such, Akuma should be WAYYYY better in the games. Kinda like Shin Akuma from CvsSNK2 without the massive damage taking.
fighters get beaten, in fact I can think of no great and please dont say Rocky Marciano as his last 25 fights were fixed by the mob, who has not been beaten. Ortiz, Holyfield, Ali, Couture, Lewis, Leonard, they all lose eventually.
you forgot to mention prol propagoda (wrong spelling)
and for belivers and jiu jitsu (the )

This isn't about real life fighters, its about comic characters, jesus christ people!
The real life fighters were originally used in several peoples posts to support there arguments involving skill and as a resul people deviated from the original post to a topic some of them were more interested ergo- "what makes a good fighter". 🙄 try and keep up 🙂

Actually, he is.He lived for 10,000 years, during which time he faught plenty
of fights himself.I believe he was the one who trained Gamora, who is an excellent
fighter and assasin.
I've read the majority of Thanos comics and not seen him pull out great fighting moves. Being able to teach someone something doesn't mean you're good at it. I could read all the martial arts manuals in the world, and not be able to do any of it. I could then proceed to teach another person how to do each move, and still not be able to do half of it.
As for the real life fights, that still has nothing to do with the best fighters in the comic world, that's just an offshoot of the thread.
Bruce lee stated more then once that the best fighters on earth are not martial artests but street fighters, and that he would lose to a street fighter that had as much experiece as him, it's because martial artist act and react from what they have learned while street fighters simply use what ever is at hand a book a garbage can or just a rage rush, tere reactions are faster because they are not accessing something from memory but just reacting.

While I agree that a teacher would not always be better than
the student, since the student can eventually surpass them, I
don't see how one can be poor at something at teach it well.
If Thanos did indeed teach Gamora, then he should be also
a great fighter.
In fact, if I'm remember correctly, he and Gamora faught once
briefly, and he seemed to be playing with her.
