"I assume that you, as a horseman, are entering the joust? As the Princess is the patron of the joust, all are competing for her favour."

"Ohh I'm competing for the princess her favour ooh my, I just thought of it as pure and healthy fun. But if this fair maiden wants me to fight in her honour then I guess I will."

"Oh, it's just a formality, really... but I am pledged to win her colours."

"You say it is a formality but your heart seems to speak differet words"

"Ah well... I'd be lying if I pretended it wouldn't do me well to win such an honour. When you haven't had a chance to fight a battle yet, you have to win respect wherever you can."

"you never faced battle before? And you're gonna joust good luck" *holds a chuckle*

You're not surprised, Argentis- even for a Dunadan, he looks baby faced. He can't be more than 30, less even, which is amazingly young for a Dunadan Lord.

"Sadly not, though not for want of putting myself forwards. There have simply been no real opportunities since I had the right to do so. Still, my father had faith in me, and I shall justify that."

"Well I was instructed to learn more about the Down's. But I also was present at the siege of Baranar's Castle" (would that be a good way of putting it?)

"The right do fight???? that's a tad strange, since when have you had that right?"

He looks at you oddly, Argentis.

"I'm a Dunadan Lord," he says. "It is my right and my duty to defend my lands and that of the King. My place is at the head of armies."

Well, Gorlim wants to know where, ultimately, you are heading with all this. Are you actually personally interested or just acting on instructions?

"Hmmm, ever heard of Baranar Fortress?"

Are there any training facilities within the castle itself - perhaps where Lords or their retainers may be practicing for the tournament? Maybe a training yard?

Darvan's going to head to the training grounds, in the hope of finding a Lord or a Lord's child who is training. He'll flit from one to the other until he finds one
