I'd bump it..........

But it's shit.

So my vote is either finding the OTHER awards thread where people named a person or a few people for each catagory, or creating a new one.

I think the way Scott did it, or was going to do it, was perfect. He had a panel of 6 who were responsible for each section of the site, and they nominated, say, 4 people for best poster, best male, female, friendliest, most helpful, etc. It would have worked out well, had some of the panelists not up and quit on him.

maybe it was in 2004? 😬

and i think making a new think wouldn't be so bad idea.. 😕

That thread is from when I first started posting somewhere other than the Matrix and RPG forums....heh!

I like that idea, but it kind of cuts alot of people out.

With the catagory thing everybody can get involved.

It was a list and it said "Best poster: *Insert yours here*" etc.

That's why it went so well before, and people could name other categories they thought should be voted on.

I think if we do it again we should do it like the original one, so everyone can nominate and vote.

It's time consuming too.

It would be nice to get definitive results...say, have a voting period of one month or something, so that it doesn't drag on forever.

How I think we did it before is that nominations were open for a certain amount of time, and then voting was open for a certain amount of time.
