Well The Matrix wasn't alot of bullshit.
Either you didn't understand it all or you didn't think it's themes and suggestions were important (which I find hard to believe seeing as everyone I've met who does understand it agrees with me.)
Crappy actors? Hayden could give Keanu a run for his money in a no personality contest all day long.

I've always maintained that people who dislike the Matrix generally don't understand it.

Well I guess you could say there are some religious motives and stuff but nothing really new and if at all only on the surface nothing really deep in any way. And yes I agree Keanue is much better than Haydn but I was refering to the OT.

The thing is, anybody can understand Escape from LA. Not everyone understands The Matrix and those who don't, don't rate it as highly as those who do. Eg: This convo.

I joined when this was www.episode-ii.co.uk so we're actually in our our domain, if you don't like it - tough shit I guess.
Well I don't see whats so hard aboot it to understand....I mean even of those people who claim that they understood it better than people that didn't like it have like a billion different views on te movie....I guess what you have to see is that just because a movie doesn't answer any question it stated it doesn't mean that it is deep or good or anything....
But just to be fair...what the hell do you think is the deeper meaning of the plot of this second class scifi movie?
Oh and actually, since my system of liking movies is my only way to tell if a movie is good or bad for me at least not liking the Matrix makes it a bad movie......
If you weren't smart enough to understand it and as a result, pick up on the reasons I think it's great, then why is it gonna make a difference me sitting here telling you the same?
It's not a second class Sci-Fi movie, it's the best there is. The only reason you have that few is because you don't understand it. You said it yourself:

Well I guess if you could tell me the reasons you liked it in a way so that even I can understand them that could possibly mean that I would suddenly feel enlighted because I have never seen it that way before and will now really love the movie....I know this is not your intention anyways but I would be very happy if I could count three more movies to my list of "good" movies.

I can't sit here and run you through every single facet and aspect because there are things tied to it that don't even play a part in the movies, just suggested. You need to watch it as much as I have and have a genuine interest in all the qualities I listed in depth to get everything out of it. It's not a movie that you can just sit down and enlighten someone on.
And it wouldn't be 3 movies. It'd be 2.
