Rob Bottin IS God! His craft is beginning to die out these days with all this CGI tomfoolery. 🙁 Computer generated crap that looks as real, for the most part, as the plastic films it appears in. Candy-floss for the eyes and not even good candy-floss at that.

As for THE THING? Excellent. Although I'd rate his earlier ASSAULT ON PRECINCT 13 and HALLOWEEN higher myself. 😎

Has anybody seen the orginal film?.... i heard that movie was darn good and scary back in the day.
