The Thing vs. Auqaman

and that implies that he has super strength right?? i always thought he did

At one point I believe Aquaman was able to lift up an entire city. But I don't know if that could be used in here. That may have been a one time thing.

EDIT* someone beat me to it and he's right. Not the entire city, but a large portion of it. I guess it wasn't a one-time thing.

Anyway, he does have a body density strong enough to survive the deepest parts of the ocean, so his body can take alot of punishment. And that he's ALWAYS had. It's not over in 5 seconds.

i'm confused. is all this aquaman cl100+ stuff a very RECENT development? it must be. in the x-over where he battled namor, he readily admitted to not even being close to namor in strength. but he was faster. and in none of the older books i have is he anywhere NEAR the thing's level in muscle. so if someone would be so kind as to tell me when and where this power-up took place, i'd be mucho obliged.

Aquaman is Class 60(60 Tons) or was but has since been upgraded(I don't know if his strength has had a definite increase, but he can go toe-to-toe with wonderwoman and not be in trouble).
He Has very durable and dense skin.
He has superhuman reflexes and is very fast.
He's also an expert at hand-to-hand fighting, he's battled wonderwoman
before, they're both from warrior nations.
He also has a few other very impressive attributes, one being his telepathic power which has definitely increased in ability(what he's capable of doing with it).

Aquaman took out a white martian telepathically... they are close to Martian Manhunter levels.

Thats pretty damn powerful...he put him into a seizure.

He is way weaker, he is much lesser of a fighter, and like to admit it or not all of you Ben Grimm haters he's got more will power and more of the i will never quit like no other character in either world Marvel or DC. Ben would squish Aquaman in short work. IMO 😎

Thing takes this easily, She-Hulk in JLA/ Avengers kicked Aquaman's Ass and that was when she was only Cl 70, so Thing would destroy him.

Aquaman is probably at least two to four time stronger then Thing is. He is fighter by heart as he is leader of undersea nation that has been fighting for its whole life...

And Marvel vs DC doesn't count anyway. Each fight the two opponents were made to be equal to each other and the fans voted in the wins.

I'm guessing telepathy is not allowed due to the fact that Aquaman would win sooo easily if it were. But I'm wondering if Aquaman is still allowed to contact marine animals? I realize it's part of telepathy, but what's the ruling on it?

I'd say no. The original poster said no mental powers or weapons. I assume that woud include mentally contacting animals for help.

The reason I assume that is because...

He wanted Hand-to-hand combat only. Who would win

Aquaman. Far better fighter. Much more experienced. Oh and MUCH stronger.

Per Marvel's site it gives these rating which go from 0-7

Namor STR 6 DUR 6 Fighting skills 3

THING STR 6 DUR 6 Fighting skills 5

THOR STR 7 DUR 6 Fighting skills 4

So at least from their site as of 5/8/05 thats their stats. 💃
