Dude i play that game once or twice each week, I know whats possible, you cant just use your fist trough the whole map on the zombies they are usualy more then 1 and that means they are at least gonna get 1 hit at you, and then you must not forget that marine around the corner whos shooting you while you fight the zombies
The dogs in Resident Evil 4. So rediculously scary.
To anyone that hasn't played Resi 4 yet - when you get to "the garden maze" bit, be afraid.
You can hear them coming, but you don't know where from.......and when they pounce, Jesus..............
Then there's also the blind Wolverine type people who charge at you and are an instant decap if you get in the way. Then you have to fight TWO! Nerve shredding stuff.
Scary as f*ck.

First dog encounter made me jump real high.
I basically had time to go "What the f - !?" before one lunged forward and rips Leon's throat out.
The Wolverine is extremely stressing too. The instance where you had to fight two wasn't as bad when you killed the rest of the monk dudes, ran to opposite sides of the room and sniped their backs while they wandered around.
The cage fight was much higher on the "SHIT!" factor if you stayed in.
Doom 3 is pretty f*cking scary, but F.E.A.R scared me more, I think... That game had so many creepy sounds. I played it with headphones on and in the dark once and wanted to cry after having the living sh*t scared out of me. Then again, I'm easily scared when playing almost any first-person shooter...

Resident Evil 4. It just builds up the tension and you can't even relax during the cut scenes or else you will die.
The monks creeped me out the most, especially in the part with the huge atrium and open rooms and there were coming from every which direction. It was hard to turn shoot an enemy without turning your back on him.

And the regenerators
One of the most memorably "SHIIIIT!" moments was very early in the game where Leon enters the Pueblo and you're pretty much under siege with Leatherface bearing down on you.

Those were pretty freaky, though they didn't come in large groups. The rasping breathes they take and the way they move are pretty damn unsettling nonetheless. One of the most memorably "SHIIIIT!" moments was very early in the game where Leon enters the Pueblo and you're pretty much under siege with Leatherface bearing down on you.

I died so many times during that knife fight it wasn't even funny.
The "Like you, I'm American" part.
YouTube video
The music loops and the voice acting could be slightly better, but it is worthy of a movie screen. Anyone else notice that Leon is ambidextrous?
Am I alone in not thinking RE4 was particularly scary? It was extremely tense, but it was more an action game than a horror game.
Anyone here play Haunting Ground? If you see it used, I recommend it--no guns, no way to kill or seriously slow down the monsters, just hiding where you can and running like hell.
