I think the scene where Faramier is saying that he is going to go and fight and he tells Denathor to think better of him and Denathor says "that would depend on the manor of your return" the look in Faramier's eyes just makes me all teary. and also when they are talking about Faramier and Borimeir swithing (that Farameair would have died instead) and Denathor says "yes, I do wish that" that also gets to me
I also think "Don't go where I can't follow" is really sad and "i can't carry it, but I can carry you" "It's you, go home sam" "Don't you let go" those are all really good. I know there are more but I can't think of them
Prophecy of the North:
Tears unnumbered ye shall shed, and the Valar will fence Valinor against you, and shut you out, so that not even the echo of your lamentation shall pass over the mountains. On the house of Feanor the wrath of the Valar lieth from the West to the uttermost East, and upon all that will follow them it shall be laid also.
Their Oath shall drive them, and yet betray them, and ever snatch away the very treasure that they have sworn to pursue.
To evil end shall all things turn that they begin well, and by treason of kin unto kin, and the fear of treason shal this come to pass. The Dispossessed shall they be for ever...

Sam: I Can't carry it for you but i can carry you"
Sam: Don't leave me here alone don't go where i can't follow..wake up"
Frodo: I can't do this sam
Sam: I know its all wrong by rights we shouldn't even be here..but we are..its like in those great stories Mr.frodo the ones that really mattered full of darkness and danger they were and sometimes you didn't want to know the end because how could the end be happy how could the world go back to the way it was when so much bad had happened but in the end its only a passing thing this shadow even darkness must pass a new day will come and when the sunshines it will shine out the clearer those are the stories that stay with you that mean something even if you were too small to understand why. but I think Mr frodo I do understand I know now folk in those stories had lots of chances of turning back only they didn't they kept going because they were holding on too something.
Frodo: what are we holding onto sam?
Sam: that there is some good in this world and its worth fighting for.
"thus ended the Nirnaeth Arnoediad, as the sun went down beyond the Sea. Night fell in Hithlum, and there came a great storm of wind out of the West
Great was the triumph of Morgoth, and his design was accomplished in a manner after his own heart; for men took the lives of Men, and betrayed the Eldar, and fear and hatred were aroused among those that should have been united against him..."
"... and Morgoth has laid a curse upon him and all his kin" - "That I do believe!"
Gwindor's last words:
"Let bearing pay for bearing! But ill-fated was mine, and wain is thine; for my body is marred beyond healing, and i must leave middle-earth. And though I love thee, son of Húrin, yet I rue the day that I took thee from the orcs. But for thy prowess and thy pride, stil I should have love and life, and Nargothrond should yet stand a while. Now if thou love me, leave me! Haste thee to Nargothrond, and save Finduilas. And this last I say to thee: She alone stands between thee and thy doom. If thou fail her, it shall not fail to find thee. Farewell!" (so true ❌ )
Glaurung:
"Evil have been all thy ways, son of Húrin. Thankless fosterling, outlaw, slayer of thy friend, thief of love, usurper of Nargothrond, captain foolhardy, and deserter of thy kin. As thralls thy mother and thy sister live in Dorlómin, in misery and want. Thou art arrayed as a prince, but they go in rags, and for thee they yearn, but thou carest not for that. Glad may thy father be to learn that he hath such a son; as learn he shall."
"Tell the Mormegil that Finduilas is here" (Finduilas' words before she died)
anyline where acharacter says goodbye (boromirs especially) before they die or at the end where characters a leaving or its there last line of the whole film its sad its over noooo
erm any merry pf pips deparantings because they have such a good friendship... well the one where pippin rides of a horse is the saddest
and 'dont go where i cant follow' (sam) that one because it is showing us how sam needs frodo as much as frodo needs sam
and finally where sam carries frodo the most saddest line along with when they are talking when they think they are going to die before the eagles save them YAY
