Great reviews for Revenge Of The Sith
It seems that the film critics are starting to give positive reviews for Sith. I guess Lucas has finally redeemed himself and saved the best till last. I can confidently tell you that Sith is easily the best of the prequel trilogy.
VARIETY
The Force returns with most of its original power regained in "Star Wars: Episode III -- Revenge of the Sith." Concluding entry in George Lucas' six episode story of the Skywalker family pack of space epics teems with action, drama and spectacle, and even supplies the odd surge of emotion, as young Anakin Skywalker goes over to the Dark Side and the stage is set for the generation of stories launched by the original "Star Wars" 28 years ago. Whatever one thought of the previous two installments, this dynamic picture irons out most of the problems, and emerges as the best in the overall prequel series. Stratospheric Worldwide B.O. is a given.
THE HOLLYWOOD REPORTER
The final episode of George Lucas' cinematic epic "Star Wars" ends the six-movie saga on such a high note that one feels like yelling out, "Rewind!" Yes, rewind through more than 13 hours of bravery, treachery, new worlds, odd creatures and human frailty.
AINT IT COOL
Really don’t know what to say. I’ve wanted to see Obi-Wan fight Vader on that Lava Planet since that issue of Starlog in 1977. My 6 year old reading comprehension grasping for every word of every article I could get my grubby little hands on. For me, the origin of Vader has been the Holy Grail of my geek soul. That story most coveted, but yet untold. I’m 33 years old now. 27 years lay between me and that boy that dreamt of that fight – but right now, he’s on my shoulders and we’re slapping high-fives.
COMING SOON
George Lucas' Star Wars saga comes to a fitting end. Revenge of the Sith brings the action like no other Star Wars film - on land, in the air and to the very depths of Hell.
TELEGRAPH
The fans who have been camping out for weeks in front of cinemas across America will not be disappointed. Lucas has created an eminently satisfying, albeit surprisingly violent, final instalment that brings the story back full circle to the first film.
THE TRADES
28 years and 6 films later, George Lucas’s grand vision set “a long time ago, in a galaxy far far away” ends with “Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith.” Easily the best installment of the prequel trilogy, we learn just how it is that a young man named Anakin Skywalker, a seemingly good man, can and does become the Sith Lord known as Darth Vader. And Lucas lets us see how this transformation takes place with both plausibility and verve in this wonderful and sometimes startling film.
LONG ISLAND PRESS
The final installment in one of cinema’s most storied sagas is the movie everyone has been waiting for. From the guy in accounting who dresses up as Boba Fett on weekends, to Gen Xers who once had a passing affinity for the films––everyone is going to enjoy Star Wars: Episode III.
EMPIRE ONLINE
"Fear not. 'Sith' happens. Having just seen 'ROTS', it is my happy duty to report that it does not suck. Finally, after six years of criticism, Lucas clearly has a firework up his side and delivers. If the first two films had only a smattering of 'tingle moments' then this has at least twenty. When it finished I could only think of one word. "Awesome".
LATINO REVIEW
"Episode III" could have used more polishing in the dramatic department, but for the first time in this prequel trilogy the dialogue doesn't sound as if it was written poorly on the back of a napkin. Lucas is known for his inept ability with dialogue and if there's any truth that celebrated playwright Tom Stoppard fine-tuned the screenplay it shows. Unlike the classic trilogy, this prequel series is more about spectacle than story and what we see on the screen is truly spectacular.
