there were a few others that seemed to vanish after flashes of brilliance at big tournaments...anyone remember schillaci of italy at italia 90...he seemed to drop of the radar after the tournament ended

I've been searching for Di Canio's ace goal back in 2000/01 season for West Ham (I think, could of been 2001/02) against Wimbeldon, where he does a jumping volley, with his right foot, across the goal into the far right hand corner...was goal of the season.
