Description:
Scene 73 was ultimately cut from the film. Shot on stage 3, the landing platform stage, it was meant to depict (as described in the call sheet) "Anakin awaits as Palpatine emerges from his transporter." The Chancellor would then engage Anakin in conversation, including indulging in gossip about a certain female Senator (though that dialogue would occur in Scene 74, also cut). This scene was shot on Tuesday, July 22nd 2003, the 17th day of principal photography.
