there is a eyeball puncture scene in zombie flesh eaters too

The quintessential eye puncture scene is in Fulci's "Zombie". The infamous splinter in the eye is a legendary gore scene.

still i imagine ya eye gets punctured when a splinter gets prodded into it

the new york ripper eyeball scene aint a puncture like in zombie its the killer slicing a woamns eyeball open while shes awake and tied up,he slices it with a razor then slices her nipple and breast with the same razor,plus theres a real nasty bit involving a broken bottle and a womans crotch!,new york ripper upon its initial submission to the bbfc was rejected classification and given an armoured guard escort out of the uk,little bit of trivia for u guys there 🙂

New York Ripper is a complete exploitation movie, i dont really like films like this as seems to be all about violence for the sake of it. No real craft or expertise in creating horror without the use of lurid and graphic violence.

I saw "The Beyond" today, and I have to say I thought it was rubbish. Poor Story and acting and the gore was unsatisfying. Also ridiculous when the guy got electrocuted in the Library, Just really boring. Expected more from what every one was saying

wow that is unfortunate. some of the scenes were so insane .. i couldnt help but laugh from excitement. Sure it wasnt a blockbuster.. but rarely are foreign films.. especially in that timeperiod. Speaking of timeperiod .. i also commended

not the worst ive seen for that timeperiod, i think it was better than Cannibal Ferox

I think Zombie fLESH eATERS is the best Fulci film I have seen.

Nice effects and atmosphere,and some excellent ideas, , like the unmanned ship floating in the harbour ,the zombies all walking over the bridge, the radio broadcast at the end and of course the shark scene. Could have benefited from more zombie action, but definetly his most acomplished work that i have seen.

Also I think Shaun of the Dead, paid homage to the fat zombie on the boat, with their fat garden zombie , as they look very similar indeed.

I can't believe you didn't like it. good flick. the only thing that gets me is the tarantula scene..............I have to chuckle every time I see the fake tarantulas (that do not move at all.....not articulated) next to the 2 real ones they used for the shot..........
