It's not very often a high school from Illinois does a review of an epoch-making film.

How is the new high school, MW? I heard the old one got bought out by Lindenwood U. (I know, off-topic. Now back to the thread).

Lucasfilm “Suits Up” for Episode III
By JediStang

A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away…
For almost 30 years, this phrase has been seen on countless movie and television screens. Now, Star Wars fans have waited almost three years to see this phrase one final time as Episode III: Revenge of the Sith blasts into theaters on May 19th.

EVIL IS EVERYWHERE. These three words, shown on the trademark opening crawl, set the tone of the movie. Taking place three years after the previous movie, Attack of the Clones, the dreaded Clone War is finally coming to a close with a dramatic space battle, led by our heroes, Anakin Skywalker (Hayden Christensen) and Obi-Wan Kenobi (Ewan McGregor). After a victorious battle, Anakin seeks advice from his friend and mentor, Chancellor Palpatine (Ian McDermid), fearing that his wife will die giving birth to his child. Palpatine, a deceptive man, promises his help if Anakin joins the Dark Side. The Jedi realizes that Palpatine is a Sith, a Jedi’s sworn enemy. He quickly informs other Jedi, who attempt to place Palpatine under arrest. Palpatine, using his evil Sith powers, kill all except Anakin. Palpatine deceives Anakin, saying that the Jedi were trying to kill him, and asks him to become a Sith. Anakin agrees, and begins his new mission…

As this unfolds, Obi-Wan flies to the planet Utapau, one of seven planets shown in Episode III, to destroy General Grevious, a sinister half alien, half robot creature. He succeeds, and barely escapes with his life. Once he learns of Anakin’s actions, he chases after Anakin, along with Anakin’s wife, Padmé.

They catch up to Anakin on the lava planet of Mustafar, where he has already killed many of the war’s leaders, thus beginning an eighteen-minute battle between our two heroes. This duel, which took over three months to prepare, promises to be incredible. In the end, Anakin, losing his limbs, is rescued by Palpatine and dons the protective black armor, and becomes Darth Vader. As director George Lucas said, “That’s what happens, when you play with swords.” As Obi-Wan leaves his once-friend to die there, he takes Padmé to a hospital, where she dies giving birth to their twins, Luke and Leia.

In reality, fans haven’t warmed up to the prequel Star Wars movies in the way they did to the Original Trilogy of the 70’s and 80’s. However, fans are hoping that Revenge will be the one. “I like the Original Trilogy better,” says <NAME WITHELD>, “but Episode III ties up all the loose ends, so I’m looking forward to it.”

Kudos for posting, JS! And hey-howdy, DylHimself! What a small universe!

Thanks for posting it, but you could have used more spoiler tags...

how is that a review? that's what happened in the movie.. where exactly is the review part??

How did some High School Kid get to see the movie and write a review?

Or did he just write the review based on the spoilers?

F+

That is not a review, that is a synopsis

Actually that is not even a synopsis, that is the general outline of the whole movie.

You are putting that in your school paper for everyone to read? What the hell is the matter with you?

OK D- then

To tell you the honest-to-God truth, I'm glad that I got this response. I had actually made a 'review' of the movie, NO I have not yet seen it, which is why they made me do an overview of the movie, and a reaction of a student. Seriously, it was really dumbed down, about a great 400 words. It originally was about 800 words, taken down to about 350. So, sorry for the dissapointment, and see you on the other side.
